I loved this book! It hooked me from the beginning and I just could not stop reading.

Lillia, Kat, and Mary make a plan to get Reeve to fall for Lillia and then break his heart. I thought this plan was a bit excessive considering what the girls already did to Reeve at Homecoming.

I love almost all of the characters in this book. I feel like we really got to understand them. Lillia is my favorite, she went through so much in this book and really grew as a character. She finally got out of Rennie's shadow and started to be herself. Her relationship with Reeve was so interesting and not what I expected at all. I found myself speeding through Kat and Mary's chapters just so I could get back to Lillia.

Kat is a still an amazing character. She does and says whatever she wants. She is a good friend and it was great to see more of her family and her home life. I really want her and Alex together, they seem like they understand each other more than anyone else.

Mary was not my favorite. I felt like she was really selfish and did not grow at all. I was sick of hearing about her and Reeve. Her obsession with getting revenge on him made her so unlikable. The end of the book was definitely a shock for me and I'm a little scared to see what Mary does in the next book.

Rennie. Rennie is the worst, I absolutely hated her, but at the same time I understood her jealousy toward Lillia. Lillia seems to have everything, money, looks, family, and two guys who are totally in love with her. I get why Rennie is jealous, but Lillia is supposed to be her best friend. There were so many other ways Rennie could have handled things but she was just petty and vindictive. I don't know if I bought her apology to Kat either. It all just seemed so calculated. I know I should feel bad about what happens to her but by the end of the book I was so sick of her.

The ending was so good! While I started to put together what was going on with Mary I did not expect what happened to Rennie. Everything is starting to make a little more sense but at the same time there are so many questions. I have no idea what's going to happen in the next book but I can't wait to find out!

This series is the perfect mix of revenge, friendship, romance, and just a little paranormal thrown in. The character are interesting and complex. There were so many twist and turns I just couldn't put this down until I finished. The ending left me reeling and wanting so much more. I can't wait for Ashes to Ashes!

This was a very good sequel to the first book. It had just the right amount of drama and character development. While I sometimes questioned character's choices, I could always understand why they made them.

The paranormal stuff from the first book is still here and gets explored a bit more (as well as explained). I could 100% see the twist coming, but I still think it was very well done. The way it was written was excellent.

And the ending really shocked me. I can't wait to see how the story wraps up in the last book.

I liked this one a lot.

There are things that bothered me like the love Mary has for Reeve because it's cringe worthy, but
Spoiler after knowing she's a ghost, I can understand it
.

I don't like that now Reeve is supposed to be a bad guy with a heart of gold, I know people aren't black or white, but I guess I need more background on him to understand his douchy attitude.

Now I do understand Mary's rage and her need for revenge.
SpoilerI wasn't on board with the whole paranormal aspect of this novel mainly because it felt like an afterthought, something that doesn't organically fit within the story. To me the supernatural things that happened were too little and too sparse. All of that changed 80% into the book when I realized Mary's dead, Oh My God!!!.

I was entertained and intrigued the whole time. I liked the characters (except Mary at first). It's a fun, light read and I loved the ending. I'm hooked, ready for the next one.

Oooookay. Shit just got weird. That's my first reaction after the ending. Like, WTF? I mean, I know the previous book and this one had some strange things going on with Mary and whatnot, but this is just too crazy. I don't even know what to expect for the third book now. WTF!

This book started off really slow for me it took me a while to actually feel motivated to read it. The start is mainly the fallout from the first book and it takes a while to really get going, maybe 100 pages or so. But once it gets going oh boy does it get going.

Spoiler
The things I liked about this book:
1. Lillia and Reeve

Things I didn't like about this book:
1. Mary in general
2. Kat gets pushed into the background a lot. She doesn't really get any development or hardly any time in the book at all, I found myself trying to read through Mary and Kat's chapters as fast as i could to get back to Lillia and Reeve.
3. The supernatural plot twist. I almost wish it was all in Mary's head and that she really wasn't dead or a vengeful spirit or whatever. I know there was hints here and there from book 1 and this book but I guess I just really didn't like it personally.
