Probably one of my least favorite Laymon's. Titillating (with the emphasis on you know which syllable) but predictable. Otherwise, I just got po'd at the hormone driven protagonist and rather than fling it to the wall I released it through bookcrossing.com. Laymon's posthumous popularity being what it is I am sure it will find an appreciative home.

You either love Laymon or you hate him - I fall in the former camp. This was definitely different than his usual fare, not in terms of the sex and violence, but in terms of the pacing, plot, etc. I loved the surreal vibes of the main character just walking around his town at night and seeing what weird events transpire (which makes up the majority of the book). 4 stars instead of 5 because I thought the end felt a little contrived - most of this book cruised along at a leisurely, weird pace and honestly I would have been fine with that just continuing but the last third of the book builds towards a fun, but out of place, climax. I loved this one, super fun read.

I've only read maybe half a dozen Laymon books but I would have to say this has been my least favorite. Very short on the scares and very heavy on the gross horny teen, I'd pass on this one. It is a fast read though, so that's a bonus.

Probably the most tense and on edge a book has eve made me feel. The story's a bit of a Mish mash and feels thrown together in places. All together very well done with a good, satisfying ending.
