Easily a 4.5* read.
If you like anthologies, you'll like this one - all Tied to the Olympics, but not all based in the hallowed Olympic arena - some end before the events, others are in the winter games and most feature the London 2012 games.
Usually in anthologies there are the great, the ok and the urgh - but in this set I found that all were good and some were really great.
It would be a great lunch time series as I did find Olympic overload set in reading them back to back but I'll definitely be reading these again when I have 30 mins to fill in.

This anthology is the first I've participated in. And when it released last Friday I realized something I hadn't taken into account. Suddenly I was nervous not just about my own story, ("Please, let some readers really like it...") but also about a group of other stories over which I had no control at all. ("Pretty please, let the whole collection be worth the purchase!!")

I got my copy Saturday, and I didn't read it right away. I had very good reasons... okay, I wimped out. But last night I finally picked it up. About three pages into the first story, I laughed out loud. And then I relaxed. It was good, it was really good :)

This collection has something for everyone. You'll find young teenage novices and experienced veterans, playboys and first-timers; straining bodies, cold slick ice and sweaty horses. There is humor and drama, sweetness and angst. (I contributed some of the angst - are you surprised?)

Is it perfect? Hell, no. But it's a collection I'm proud to be part of and there are some stories in here I will definitely reread. And that's a relief. I hope other readers enjoy it as much as I have.

An anthology about athlets and their way to and at the Olympics. I like!

Well, I didn't like the first two stories that much. The first one not at all and the second one was okay? But starting with the third one? Oh yes, I like. Very much.

I especially liked the third, fourth and last story.

The third one was about a figure skater finally landing a quad. The story just hit a button with me. :)

The fourth one was about eventing and well, a well written story with horses in it? I'm always going to love it.

The last one? I love that one. Because Tyler (the athlete) didn't made it to the Olympics because he's been hurt. And I so love that there is (at least) one story there that shows that going to the Olympics and/or winning Gold is not the most important part. Being healthy. Finding someone who likes and loves you - way more important! Yes, other stories in this collection had this theme too but there they were still at the Olypmics and here, here the athlet had to give up before he even went to London.
