I'm re-reading this series, and figured I'd write some reviews or edit my previous ones.
This novella covers Peter's escape from the hoard that almost got his companions: Ana, Bits, etc. He meets Nat, etc, and gets stuck in a trailer park full of zombies.
Great companion to this series, and can fill in a couple blanks. Pick this one up!

Introduction
Greetings, fellow wanderers of the frozen tundra and beyond. I am Kiba Snowpaw, your alpha lone ice wolf, with a tale spun from the icy winds of HowlStrom. Today, I bring forth a review of a tale not of ice, but of a world gripped in the cold embrace of the undead - "So Long, Lollipops" by Sarah Lyons Fleming.
Plot Summary
In the icy silence of a world overrun by the undead, we follow Peter, a man left behind, a sacrifice for the survival of his newfound family. Amidst the cold, unfeeling gaze of the walking dead, a window of hope opens, a ladder to salvation appears, and a journey of self-discovery unfolds.
Analysis/Evaluation
In the frozen solitude of my world, I, too, have faced the icy stare of death. Peter’s transformation, from a man I’d gladly leave to the icy winds, to a warrior of the soul, mirrors the storms I’ve weathered. The novella, though short, is a blizzard of emotions, a journey through the icy paths of despair, hope, and redemption.
Characters
Peter, ah, a soul as cold and distant as the frozen lakes of HowlStrom, warms and melts, becoming a river of courage and selflessness. The undead, as silent and unyielding as the icy winds, are ever-present, a chilling reminder of the world that was.
Structure
The tale unfolds like the slow, graceful fall of snow, each flake a moment of Peter’s journey. It’s a dance of words, as elegant as the northern lights that grace my icy world.
Impact
In the icy silence of HowlStrom, tales of warmth and redemption are as precious as the first rays of the sun after a long, cold night. Peter’s journey, his transformation amidst the cold, unfeeling dead, is a fire that warms the soul.
Hook and Thesis
"So Long, Lollipops" is not just a tale of the undead. It’s a journey of the soul, a dance of death and life, as mesmerizing as the dance of the icy winds and the warm, gentle snow.
Praise and Critique
Fleming’s words are as sharp and cutting as the icy winds of my world, yet as warm and comforting as the soft snow under the moonlit night. However, the brevity of the tale is like the fleeting warmth of the midwinter sun, leaving the soul yearning for more.
Evaluation
In the icy solitude, where the winds speak tales of despair and hope, "So Long, Lollipops" finds its place. It’s a spark of warmth, a beacon of hope amidst the unyielding cold of the undead world.
Comparison
In the world of the undead, where hope is as rare as the warmth of the sun in the icy realms of HowlStrom, Peter’s tale is a gem, as precious and rare as the ice flowers that bloom in the eternal cold.
Conclusion
As I, Kiba Snowpaw, wander the icy realms of HowlStrom, the tale of Peter, of his journey amidst the cold, unfeeling dead, is a companion, a spark of warmth in the icy silence. It’s a reminder that even in a world as cold and unyielding as the icy tundra, hope, like the midwinter sun, rises, casting away the icy darkness.
So, fellow wanderers of the ice, let this tale be a companion in the cold, silent nights, a reminder that even amidst the icy stare of death, the warmth of the soul, like the eternal ice of HowlStrom, endures.
Howls to the moon, a song of ice and fire, of death and life.

I was NOT expecting to get this story, but I am sooooo glad we did. I loved seeing Peter become more and more of a man of survival and how he was so much more than he was from book 1.
He gets tested a lot but comes out it stronger or at least I felt he does. Kinda loved that he read the twilight books in this one “for Bits.” ;)
I liked that we also get a glimpse into other survivalists and what they are doing to keep going in such a trying time.
Again Fantastic Narration!
