i think this is one of the most beautiful things i’ve ever read. i was crying so hard by the end. poetic and weighted and important and visible and unique and just a truly beautiful novel i can’t think of any other words to describe it than beautiful. it’s a love letter to so many things i’m so glad this book exists and i feel lucky to have read it and i’m going to come back to it so much it’s just beyond beautiful

I don’t think I have the words to properly articulate how I feel towards this novel, that felt almost as much poetry as prose. I loved getting to know the UK Black perspective and I feel honoured to have found it.
