A beautiful story focusing on love and loss in life. I read this when it was first releasing and I keep going back to it for how much it continues to be an incredible story.

Reading journal/review #2! This is Gourmet Hound, a Webtoon by @leeehama 🍳

Here's the review I wrote in my journal: "I don't usually like shoujo-type comics, but this one is a fantastic exception! I fell in love with the characters right away, especially Lucy Fuji, because she reminds me so much of Tohru Honda from Fruits Basket. There are plenty of emotional moments, but there are also plenty of hilarious moments, so the comic feels well-balanced. All of the characters are really well-developed too. And the art style is super cute! I love how so much of this comic is centered around food. The themes of overcoming grief and old wounds are wonderfully and delicately written. Definitely a new favorite!" I should also add that while the emotional side feels like Fruits Basket, the hilarious side feels very Ouran High School Host Club. 😆

This made me laugh and weep. What a warm and loving exploration of food, love, grief, and home!

I stayed up WAY past my bedtime to finish this, it was absurdly compelling. There was even a mini-villain arc!!

Probably my favourite webtoon, I LOVE a lot of other webtoons, and I would give other webtoons a 5 star rating too, but Gourmet Hound will always have a special place in my heart.
