I did not like the FMC. What I think was supposed to come off as badass and stubborn, was actually naïveté and selfish. She was all over the place. And it would’ve been fine if there was some character growth from the first book, but there wasn’t. Also, there were a lot of plot holes. It seems as if the author was making things up on the fly because the story was disjointed. The books are short compared to most in the genre but it needed to be fleshed out more. I lost interest.
Okay…so the Harvest Games were for nothing at this point. Now the plot has shifted to the werewolf territory and General Dominic is a really shitty planner. LOL! I would say, I love the character growth within Sienna. It was sad to see her depleted after finding out about her lost friend, but to actually know that he has an actual family has her torn. The tea is finally spilled on Diana’s identity and I really hope it works in her and everyone else’s favor as the plot moves forward to remove Edmund. Dominic and Sienna went from enemies to lovers to…loathing again? I love how their relationship is blooming but with obstacles getting in their way, I really hope Sienna doesn’t become childish about her feelings and get pouty. It’s like they keep taking one step forward and two steps back. The plot was not extremely fascinating where I’m hooked and it’s a page turner type of thing but I’m excited for the next book nonetheless.
hunted by fate is as good as the first book in the series if not better. still giving it four stars as I was still left wanting and full of questions on certain things. but those were not enough to keep me from liking and enjoying the story. we get more banter, more character growth...and even some side character romance and exploration. the tension from the hostile environment our FMC is in is amplified by the death of the king as well as the romantic tensions between her and our beloved MMC.
we get a tad bit more world building in this one- which is something I like I love when a world and narrative just feel real because there's a lot of context. I am excited to see what is next for our main characters and how the story continues...and if the questions I have will be answered.

This really should be like a 4.5⭐️ but Goodreads doesn’t do half stars.
I loved getting to see the werewolf territory in this book! I think this was a great second book in the series. You had enough mystery/questions to keep you engaged, the looming battle to keep tension, and of course we had the romantic tension there too!
We got a prophesy in this book, and yes I have theories! Also as sad as it was, I love a good betrayal in a story. Scarlett betraying Dominic was so juicy!
Is anyone else sus about this mystery missing man with the earring??
This book left me wanting more in the best way. I can’t wait to read the next book and get some more questions answered!

Well done second book in the series! Really like where this is going. Excellent world building and brilliantly fun side characters. Enjoying both the MMC and FMC as well. A lot of rather dithering side plots and no heavy character arcs, but an entertaining romp all the same. On to the next one!
I have been eagerly awaiting the second book in the Alpha Territories series from the moment I closed my Kindle app on the first book. Hunted by Fate picks up right where Taken by Fate ended, so readers don't miss any of the harrowing escape of Sienna, Bee, and the near death Prince William. While Tempted by Fate was filled with intricate world building, the introduction of characters and their relationships, Hunted by Fate refines those relationships, answers some questions, but leaves others even more murky with possibilities than before. It's absolute perfection!
Hunted by Fate is a quick read, that while forging a stronger bond between Sienna and Dominic, really sets the stage for the war that is to come. More of Sienna's powers are awakened, some familial connections revealed, and the devastation of loss and betrayal are experienced.
I am totally engaged with the characters, curious about the other territories after the fall of the veil, and obsessed with learning what type of supernatural Sienna is, because she certainly isn't human. How and why she was on the Mainland at the start of the series? I'll definitely be rushing to read the next book!
Thank you to the author for the gifted copy of Hunted by Fate. I am leaving my honest review voluntarily.
