This was definitely an improvement to book 1 and I enjoyed it a lot more than the first. The plot came together a lot more and I felt a bit more connected to the characters than in book 1. Book 1 didn’t really give me enough to get invested in the characters and what was happening to them. I felt a bit more connected here. However, the romance still felt like we are being told these 2 like each other more than the chemistry shows it. 

 

Based on the cliffhanger, I’m interested to see where the 3rd and final book goes.
