Excellent book and if it weren’t for some of the events getting close to crossing lines that made me uncomfortable, I probably would’ve given it 5 stars. While iron gold took me a while to remember old characters and get used to new characters after some time since I finished the original trilogy, this book definitely had fully invested into the story. I felt so many emotions including frustration, anger, and grief, but the ending was excellent. Can’t wait to reread this second era and catch all the little things I’m missing this first time around.

Good GRIEF. I absolutely LOVED the first three Red Rising books. Iron Gold was... different, but still entertaining. I nearly DNFed Dark Age several times - the political dithering about drove me up the wall, and in the end... 

well, let's just say the world is STILL a giant dumpster fire. It's starting to feel like this fictional world will never find peace.
