I'm so grateful I was allowed to read this book before it was officially published. I know a Kate Clayborn book, no matter the story, will heal and soothe me in numerous ways. Georgie, and (especially) Levi did just that.

I've never had a thing...a passion, a Goal for my life and it's always made me feel rootless and incomplete. So when Georgie described a blankness where there "should" be something, that's the first of many cries I had.

And Levi, making a steady, stable, sturdy life to atone for his early struggles...yeah, more tears. The gentleness and vulnerability of Levi Fanning was a revelation. Show me a man who loves his dog and pays attention and I Will fall in messy love. Levi is a dark horse and a unicorn at once. A Dark Unicorn.

This book is a masterclass on Character. The depth that Kate gives these people make them real and true and funny and fragile. Her stories remind me that people can be good. That love can be good. That life can be good. Which is something I need to be reminded of these days.

A lil too Hallmark-y for me. The audiobook made me cringe every five minutes.

3.5 stars. This is the second romance I've read, and while it's miles better than the last one, I can't shake the feeling that as a genre, these books just aren't written very well (or they're not my cup of tea, that's a possibility too). This one had some funny moments, and the dialogue was decent. I think I've just gotten spoiled because for most of the things I read, romance is only a small part of the main plot. The characters have to think and make decisions, and only a fraction of them are directly related to how they feel about the love interest. I think I would enjoy this style of book more if they were subtler, if the two characters whole worlds weren't just about each other, and if the male POVs were written more believably. That said, I would have rather read this book than not, there were some tender moments, and it was a good way to pass some time.

As a fan of Kate Clayborn, I had high expectations for this book -- and Georgie, All Along surpassed every single one. This book was fantastic and so classically KC!

Georgie, All Along packs a punch in all the best ways, and I found myself so deeply involved in the lives of Georgie, Levi, and their family and friends. But none more so than Georgie. Her character and her experiences just really resonated with me. Her indecision and feelings of being lost and confused and "blank" towards her own future had me nodding along the whole time.

While not a new idea, KC's take on looking back and trying to rediscover your path felt refreshing and real. And I loved how this journey helped Georgie determine not only her strengths but her self-worth as well. She was able to use these experiences to grow her own character and help Levi through his own journey too.

I also loved how realistic Levi's character was. His struggles with mental health and overcoming his criminal history weren't sugarcoated or downplayed. Having his POV throughout meant that we (readers) got a better understanding of his thought processes and mental commentary for all the things he didn't say aloud. Again, it was refreshing -- and enjoyable to watch him overcome and grow as a person, and build a truly supportive network of people.

I'm a HUGE fan of the grumpy x sunshine trope and Georgie, All Along was top tier. I couldn't have loved it more. This is a book that will last with you long after the final pages.

Disclaimer: I received an ARC.

I enjoyed the plot of the book, but didn’t especially love the writing, specifically for Levi. Overall didn’t love it, didn’t hate it. It was light and quick.

Beautiful and indulgent. Brought back so many memories from high school.
