It was a mistake to read this right after finishing Giant Days.

This was so sweet and well written. I honestly am so glad there's a sequel because if this was all their was I would have been so upset. This is a great blend of supernatural with the humorous style I am used to from Allison. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking a new graphic novel.

Trigger warnings:
Spoilerblood and gore depiction, religious rituals, religious bigotry, death, animal sacrifice

With the vibe of early Giant Days, Steeple explores the interaction and contrast of two starkly different religions. Told in a world of morally grey, two women live on either side of the war between good and evil. But they still manage to build a relationship.

I'm really curious to see where the next volume heads...

This book is full of good ideas that never quite develop.

It was slow at first and I wasn't sure if I cared at all, but just like Giant Days, it picked up and I'm interested to see what happens.
