mysterious medium-paced

Dare I say this was my first Mary Higgins Clark book?! I am a huge fan of Alafair Burke so the two paired together as writers is amazing.

This was a fast read that hit all the points it needed to as a thriller. It was fast-paced, engaging, well- written, great plot, with a great format in the plot with the case in the story being investigated on a tv show.

I wasn’t sure who was a liar between these twins or if one was even a liar. It was wrote so well that I couldn’t figure it out. This book kept me engaged throughout and I was infested the whole time because I needed to know who was responsible. Now I’m going to go back read all the books this duo wrote together!

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for this ARC!

While I've read all of the books written by Mary Higgins Clark, I was only able to partly guess 'who did it' in this one. You will NOT be disappointed in this!

Will forever love this series!

Wow, I really enjoyed this book! I listened to it on audio through the Libby app and January LaVoy may be my new favorite narrator.

This book follows two identical brothers who's parents are murdered on the evening of their graduation party. Everyone thinks that the twins killer their parents together for money, but both twins deny it and blame each other for the murders. Years later, their younger sister Frankie decides to seek the help from Laurie Moran who has a true crime TV show to figure out who actually killed her parents, so that her family can finally move on and be made whole again.

This book is the 8th book in the Under Suspicion series, but can totally be read as a stand alone. I ate this book up. This story was well paced and kept me fully engaged the entire time. Each character was well distinguished and I was never lost at who's POV I was currently listening to.

I was totally sucked into Laurie's mission to crack the case and I definitely did not see the twist at the end coming. I thought I had figured out the killer and then BAM, I was totally wrong! I cannot wait to go back and read the other Under Suspicion books.

Thank you @netgalley and @simonandschuster for the #gifted copy!

I think I've read EVERYTHING Mary Higgin Clark has ever written so I consider myself an expert. Lol... This book is the best so far in the "Under Suspicion" series. It leaves you guessing until the end!

I have been reading MHC books since I was a teen. Although pretty much can give you the storyline from beginning to end, I still enjoy them.

This was my first Mary Higgins Clark read. I know she's a super prolific author so I've had my eye on her stuff for a while. I liked how short and snappy the chapters were and this reminded me of a fun "airport" read. This book works totally fine as a standalone. In fact, I didn't even know it was part of a series when I read it.

There are a lot of characters right out of the gate so it takes a minute to get to know everyone and remember the character names, but then you have this whole cast of people with opposing feelings who are at odds with each other and that's perfect for a familial drama.

Thanks to Simon & Schuster for the advance copy. <3
