This story has all the feels and the kink one associates with this author. Both of the main characters discover something about themselves after completing a kink quiz, Beau that he is a submissive and Maggie that she is a Domme and brat tamer. Their journey of acceptance of themselves added depth to the love story, which felt sweet and poignant.

We first met Beau in Praise, where he was the unlikable, spoilt, cheating ex-boyfriend of Charlie, the main protagonist of that story. In Mercy, we gain a greater understanding of why Beau is as he is, and get to see him grow as a person through his submission to Maggie.

This was a solid 4.5 star read. There were parts, notably when Maggie enjoys inflicting pain on Beau, which I found a bit hard to get my head around. I also think the way Maggie was portrayed didn't correlate with her being 34 years old, but someone a few years older, especially when Maggie's body is described as softening with age. A woman is in her prime in her early thirties, so that bit didn't make sense to me.

Seriously every book I read by Sara hits. Like every single book in this series was good and I think that is VERY hard to pull off.

This one was one of my least favorite in the series and it was still a 5 star read to me so thats saying something.

This one is Maggie the only female owner at Salacious and Beau (Emersons son from book one). Neither have tried kink before and it is a reverse age gap, meaning the FMC is the older one in the dynamic. She is also a domme and Beau is her sub.

Beau seemed to have some trauma from how his childhood and how it played out and while I definitely think his dynamic with Maggie helped him heal and also learn a lot about himself I still think he needed some #therapy. I liked Maggie as an FMC and I think her dynamic with Beau was healing for her as well.

The one thing that annoyed me with this one was when Emerson found out he shamed Maggie basically for starting something with his 22 year old son, when he had literally just married Beau's like 21 year old ex girlfriend. Like bro what.

This book was relatively low angst and the spice was very enjoyable. I felt like the plot was sort of just the spice but that didn't bother me. Such a great series.

Fourt stars again!!! I liked this one (I was so excited for a change of pace) but there are some things that have to be discussed!!;

Yes, Maggie didnt see Beau as a love interest before bUT she's known him since he was young!!! That is so weird girl!!!!!

Why was everything sexual????? Her telling Emerson he's not her Dom outside of the HOSPITAL??????!!!!?!!?!? Girl his son is IN THERE

WHY is every "thick" woman self conscious??? Like idk it just feels so ughhhh I wanted Maggie to be hot shit lol

Beau is SO annoying I can't believe anyone would choose him
