I had a hard time believing I could love this book as much as the first in the series, but I was definitely wrong. Morgan and Amalie’s story was so good and full of action. I did take a bit to get really invested though. It was really intense, but the more I read the more I loved it.

It was great! Downloaded the ebook at midnight and stayed up all night reading. I love all of Pamela Clare's books. I really hope that she eventually writes one about Wentworth. I kind of like him and would love to read a love story where he is the hero. I can't wait for Connor's book and will be looking forward to its release on nook or in my local woodwill store. :) Thank you Pamela Clare for writing such amazing books.

It was an OK read
I really didn’t feel much connection between the two leads. To make it worst, I read it in the French translation where “Lass” (had to look it up), which Morgan calls Amalie constantly, has been translated to “Petite” which could better be translated at least in my mind while reading it to “Little one” or as if talking to a small child. Not very romantic…

This book lived up to (if it did not surpass) the first book of the MacKinnon's Rangers series. Morgan and Amalie make a great couple. I think the only complaint I have about this book is that the solution was so well orchestrated... which really isn't a complaint at all. Loved it.
