Anyways, while I was decidedly NOT a fan of the extremely grotesque descriptions, I like the characters enough to hope for more growth and might eventually read the sequels!

What a bloody horrific amazing read
This book is not for the faint of heart, there’s blood, betrayal, murders, very very disturbing bloody murders etc.
If you however don’t have a problem reading about it, Stalking Jack the Ripper is excellent!
I liked the way the mystery spread out, and I really loved Audrey Rose as a main character and her narrative. And I’ll admit it. Thomas Cresswell won me over quite quickly.
While I do like the love story, I wouldn’t have minded the beginning of the book being a little more strechted out. Audrey Rose and Thomas are flirting quite a lot, and Audrey Rose seems to like him within the first 5 chapters. And while we are told time passes and they are spending time at Audrey Rose’s Uncle’s laboratory, I’d be nice seeing it.
Other than that, I bloody loved this book, and will definitely be reading the rest in the series

I don’t think I’ve ever had a book give me that much of a visceral reaction ever.
I loved this retelling and loved all the characters.
And reading this for the first time in 2021 and reading about Audrey Rose’s father being overprotective and making them wear masks in public, I can’t
