I enjoyed the PWP (Porn with Plot) from Jake rescuing Rachel at the bar to her strong resolve the next morning. Not the biggest fan of some of the vibes and stuff - love at first sight that makes people not stay safe… but it’s fiction, it gets to be like that.
My biggest wish is that it had kink-tagging, but I went with the audiobook.

Nice quick smutty read.  Kinda wanted to scream at the characters a few times - I find it hard to believe that a sports medicine doctor isn't familiar with this supposedly very famous hockey player.  And it irked me that they didn't exchange names - I wouldn't be able to do that myself.  But other than that, the book was enjoyable and the spice was top notch.

This book took the hype and the rush of a hook-up and managed to make it boring and vanilla. Jake and Rachel met at a bar and are already talking about having a connection bigger than sex, with Jake telling her she's his. Like sir, you just met her (you don't even know if she's a dog or cat person yet).

I don't want to judge Emily Rath's books or series based on this one book, so I will be reading the first book before judging it as a whole.
