Cute story. Perfect for grades 4-8

3.5 stars- A charming and fun middle-grade adventure! Audiobook well done: recommended.

Magic, adventure, and baked goods all rolled into a story as sweet and comforting as the Bounts buns it repeatedly describes. The writing isn’t brilliant, but it’s pleasing for a middle-grade book, as is the full-cast audio presentation.

Cute book, forgettable, definitely for younger kids.

Cute. A fun magical world and story.

The whole family enjoyed this as an audio book. It was fun to imagine the magic and wish I could infuse my baking with emotion.

A wonderful fantasy that holds your attention with its many twists and turns. Some great characters including the pirate captain who refuses to leave her ship for the sake of hitching up with a baker!
