This book was so boring! I would have stopped reading, but so many people recced it. Pages of boring farming stuff and very little steam. The guy goes away for 2-3 weeks, and instead of a romantic goodbye scene, it happens in 1 sentence so that there can be more pages on farming. I like that the woman had a job, but I read this to get a decent romance. Too many fade-to-blacks. Ending got a little better.

Based solely on the cover, I expected this book to be utterly insane. Instead, I found a genuinely well-written and well-developed plot with interesting characters and realistic character development. The universe-building and specific setting of the book are remarkably thorough for the length of the book and well-suited to the storyline.
All in all I would highly recommend this to anyone with even a passing interest in monster romance.
