Absolutely stunning and profound. I originally borrowed this from the library but within a couple chapters, I had ordered my own copy because I NEEDED to own this book: to annotate, underline, and reread these words again and again. Wow. One of my all-time favorite books.

This book reads like poetry. It took me a while to finish because I was never in the mood for reflective, almost metaphorical writing. But the new year seemed like a good time to get back into it.
I ended up highlighting and underlining because I felt like I was reading gospel, though I'm not a religious person anymore. This book is a mix of memoir and musings, which I ended up really liking. Recommend!

OOF.
This book is profound! I read it more slowly than I do most books because I was underlining so much. Highly highly recommend.

This book has profoundly stunning moments. It is a book to be read slowly, in many sittings. There are images and phrases I will carry with me always.
