I simply inhaled this volume. Everyone is always scheming and plotting and devising their own plans/goals, but even against all of that, Nao and Tsubaki can't deny their bond and attraction for one another. I always want the next volume, always!!

Oh the agony! The drama keeps amping up. Why on earth did I read this volume without waiting for #11 to be sitting right next to it??!!!

I knew Shiori was lying...it kind of makes her seem dumb and desperate, whereas she otherwise seems like a nice enough person, if a little naive to stay at Tsubaki's side when he still cares so much for Nao. I would like for there to be two rivals for his affections, but well, at this point Shiori has fucked up enough to be out of the running.

It's interesting to see Takigawa playing "matchmaker", so to speak. How much of this is to get Nao to admit to her feelings and how much is it to see if he maybe has a chance? I wasn't sure whether or not he actually cared for her in that way, but he's going above and beyond if Nao's mom was just someone who their his family liked and whose wagashi was tasty...Still think he and Tsubaki are brothers, but we'll see.

Speaking on affections, I'm not a huge fan of the mistaken relationships (Nao thinking Shiori really is in a relationship with Tsubaki or Tsubaki thinking Nao and Takigawa are a couple), but it's early yet to see how things will turn out. Nao and Tsubaki still care for each other, but they've been hurt so bad by each other. Besides, Nao seems to be one minded in her pursuit to clear her mother's name and to become the owner of Kogetsuan.

...And Nao tells grandfather that she's Itsuki Takatsuki's kid....BUT then he seems to fall unconscious and Tsubaki see Nao with his body on the ground. THIS AGAIN??? The drama continues.

Also...
  1. Tsubaki's eyes.
  2. Jojima and Shiori seem to be getting close.
  3. Political machinations and funds
  4. Shiori tells Tsubaki he tried to go back for Nao that time during the fire. What happened to make him go for the wagashi making tools instead?

You'll know frustration in the eyes when you read this volume. Seriously, the angst, anxiety, mixed with rage that I felt on the course of this volume couldn't compare to the previous ones. I can't keep calm! It'll definitely blow up on my face when I open the next volume! I JUST WANT TO BE HAPPY, OKAY?

Anyway, the metaphorical storytelling is really
