So, after a below par Volume 3, Lumberjanes Vol 4 is a huge improvement and provides us with some much needed backstory between Rosie (the camp's leader) and Abigail (her friend from summer camp).

We also get a lovely insight into Jen's character which is touching and seals her bond with the lumberjanes team.

I'm sooo very glad that Brooke Allen is once again the illustrator, perfecting the characters we have come to love and recognise. The colours are bright and vivid which creates a striking and chaotic atmosphere which often follows the lumberjanes wherever they go.

I'm not going to give the plot away but this volume really does focus on friendship - friendship within the group, between their leader and summer camp friend and between lumberjanes and boy scouts.

If you've read the series so far, you MUST read this terrific sequel!

I feel like each issue gets better and more what?? Love this series!

My favorite volume yet!

I am a total fan of this entire series. Now, I know what it feels like to be addicted to actual comics. They say there is the right book for every reader? Well, there is a right comic series for every reader as well. Lumberjanes found me.
adventurous funny fast-paced

I like that the story is really delving deeper into the history of the Lumberjanes and the mystery of the woods. And funny as usual!

4 stars.

I absolutely love this series. It has everything - adventure, mystery, action, friendship, romance, and - best of all - humor. They’re all quick reads and I can’t wait for the next installment.

Honestly the best one in the series so far. The contrast of the art in the flashbacks was fantastic, the snow storm is such a unique storyline, and my golly am I not a sucker for the scouting lads coming back into the picture.

First of these I’ve read with Leah. She spend through the other 3 so I’ll be going back and reading them.

aahhhh, back to the original illustrator. the last volume just didn't feel the same with all the characters looking so different. glad it's back.
