Such a good series!
This is such a good series! I am loving how the story is playing out and how the characters are blooming. Jen especially. She is starting to understand all of this but I'm still wondering the bigger picture and what is going on. I love that they have a Scouting lad on their team now. Love this series!

This was the best issue yet for sure!! It had a killer self-contained plot involving blizzards and monsters that in itself was entertaining and brilliantly paced. But the story also connected itself to the series as a whole by delving into camp director Rosie’s past, as well as the history of the camp itself. Furthermore, by bringing in Abigail, the volume gave itself a compelling antagonist of sorts, but also set itself up for future issues involving this complex character.
This instalment also had some great character work. Jen gets to star more heavily and we get to see that underneath her longing for peace and quiet is a fierce love and loyalty for the Lumberjanes, and her campers in particular. But the star of the show was really Jo, who finds herself jealous over April’s friendship with Barney. Conflict in the story provides the opportunity for Jo to gain another deep connection instead of an enemy.
Fantastic work from all involved here!! I’m looking forward to the next volume.

Rosie/Abigail will be living rent free in my mind. Friends-to-enemies-to-strangers-to-[undefined] is keeping me so well fed.
Also, trans!Jo and possibly trans!Barney?? I'm so intrigued!
Real rating: 4.25 stars!
Maybe my favorite one so far! The intrigue about what’s going on with the woods and camp is up to the max!

Another really enjoyable read! I can see bits of myself in some of the characters, so that's nice to be able to relate. I also like that the story line is progressing with each volume, and now there's a bit of a mystery!
