These adventures are always such a treat. The art is ridiculously good and I enjoy the lightheartedness of these books.
I love the Lumberjanes series so much. This sees us find out more about the background to the camp - and raises more questions and leaves you hanging for the next one. There's quite a lot packed in here and at times I felt a little too much was going on, but it's such good fun and rattles along so well that you can't really complain too much. And it looks gorgeous too.
So far I think this is my favorite volume. The world is becoming more...real, for lack of better word. The characters feel more dynamic and not as one note as in earlier volumes, and their relationships are becoming more complex. I’m more invested in learning about the Lumberjanes and the forest, when before this I was debating stopping the series. I’m glad I continued through this book, and will be picking up volume 5 shortly.

I am really enjoying the unfolding of this story. This one focuses on expanding what all went into the world building, as well as some insights into Rosie, which I really found touching. I’m so glad this is a comic that seems to keep building onto the story rather than a slice of life type of read.

I'm losing steam for this series (I told myself I'd just read the first five) so I'm not entirely sure if I've been over-saturated or if this particular volume was actually underwhelming. I liked the messages and character development that was behind the adventures and silliness, and this one seemed kinda short on that.
However, still cute, and still enjoyable.
