I think this book was just ok. I did like the characters but they all seemed very one dimensional to me. I also think the ending was kind of "too easy". In overall just not a really deep book but aquick read.

This book has such a special place in my heart. Being given and recommended this book was one of the first true acts of love I think a partner had shown me. I still have her copy. I remember being told “the world needs you” the same day this was gifted to me along with fun home, and other books that have left a huge impact on me. I wish I could read it for the first time again.
I wonder what it was like for my camp counselors to see me read fun home after this knowing it was gifted by the same partner lmao. Definitely was clocked as a suicidal gay person right at 14.

This was recommended to me when I was in high school by a teacher. He said it was one of his favorites and he thought I would enjoy it as well. I am so glad he did. 3 years later and I still absolutely love this book. It is a very compelling story. I could not put it down once I picked it up.

This book was okay. I honestly liked it because it gave great insight into the mind of a person with depression. About halfway through the book I found out the author actually ended up committing suicide. I had that in my mind while I finished the book. Just really sad overall.

This is one of my favorite books i have ever read. Usually when i read a book i just read it to get it over with but this book was actually very interesting. In the book the main character is checked into like a rehab because he has depression. Through out the book he meets lots of interesting people and goes through lots of things. He has to deal with what his friends at school are saying about him, his parents, and all these new people he has just met! This book had me hooked from the start and was also actually kind of funny!

without mentioning the transphobia and misogyny, this was a pretty boring book honestly. not a lot happens and the characters feel exaggerated to no end, especially the female ones
