As someone with no desire for fatherhood, the scariest part of this book for me was the sudden lack of control the protagonist had on his own life. The initial confusion, shock and anger at having this child turn his life upside down felt authentic and put me on edge regardless of the kid's demonic nature :). This felt like a satisfying blend of Twilight Zone, King, Bradbury, Lovecraft, Village of the Damned and The Omen and I read it in a day.
