a thrilling conclusion to the hoo series! some bits of the ending don't feel completely satisfying, and i have some issues with how the prophecy plays out, but it's fun and cool. the best parts of this book are truly nico and reyna's journey together, though jason and piper finally shaping themselves into interesting and confident characters is never unwelcome. i'm personally more of a fan of the frank, hazel, annabeth, and percy side of the seven, which means i wasn't going to enjoy this one as much, but it's still quite good!

I feel let down by this. I can't really put my finger on what I didn't enjoy, but this was the only book that felt forgettable to me. Most of this score is for Nico & Reyna's POVs (I NEED MORE) but otherwise the whole book was kinda meh.
