I really enjoyed this. The two main plot lines of growing up and trying to find a religion are really well done. I like the ending of the book, as it feels like the story continues.
I think it’s funny how the book’s cover is a text message, but it’s like set in 1970 or whenever. Just so ironic.
And then God is texting back. It’s a good thing he doesn’t have an Android or Margaret would never have seen the three dots.

Nothing that captures the pre-teen girl experience like this one

My Mother read this book with each of her daughters when they turned ten. I hate to admit it but when I got a copy of this signed for my mom I told Judy Blume about it and began to cry in front of her. This book is one of the most important memories I have with my mother. I believe this book is still relavent and should be a must for mothers and daughters to share together when they are ready. Grades 4+
Deadpool. If there wasn't a Judy Bloom reference in the first movie, I would've never read this book, since I'm not from the States.

This book was a pretty much a slice of life story. Not much happened until near the end. Wished we got more of that. I can see why this book made her waves when it came out and it was a solid read, but I think I just wanted a lil bit more.
This book really took me back to 6th grade. Blume perfecrly captured the chaos of the social and emotional learning that happens at that age. I appreciate that the book emphasized Margaret's personal relationship and definition of God outside the concept of any specific religion or label.
