Family first, even if it’s hiding the hurt and burying the same for someone else’s sake. That’s what it meant to the Brennan’s, especially one Sunday Brennan. I like this tale of a mostly normal family and how they handled life’s curveballs. There were a few twists I thought I solved but didn’t, lol. The last one I saw coming and it was fitting of the book. Book #57 in 2021
Thank you to Celadon Books for allowing me to participate as a reader in an early review and Little Free Library book drop for this book! I am super stingy with my FIVE STAR ratings but I LOVED THIS BOOK. I want to be in the Brennan Family, I need to be the sister Sunday never had, I love the character Sunday, and I finished the book in less than 36 hours. THAT HAS NOT HAPPENED IN A WHILE. I also have decided I need to open an Irish Pub or maybe just have a brother like Denny who owns a pub. (Well, maybe not exactly like Denny.)
I recommend this book to each and every one of you! Go Read It Today!

RTC. 4.5-5 stars - loved this family story! I just wanted to give everyone a hug. So flawed but I still loved them.
A nice easy entertaining read. Parts were fairly predictable but I was sucked in
Such rawness to this family. It seems on the outside like a perfect put together family, but once you see the truth you know there is more than meets the eye. Just a regular family with life struggles that each family member helps each other with. Such a strong bond between them all. Great read!!
This was cute, quick, and absorbing. I wish real life families and their problems could be as simple and easy as the Brennans!
3.5 stars. A good book but a bit too much emphasis and attention to “the incident.”
The book would’ve been better minus 50-100 pages

PLEASE i love a good family book with my entire being. now, this is no happy, go lucky, family either. they’re complicated, they’re messy, they’re so, so stupid sometimes, but that’s FAMILY. once their secrets have been unveiled, they are accepted. they say, “come as you are.”and they are understanding of one another, though not without some arguments and bickering first.
what isn’t to love about a girl going back home after accepting her defeat, only to be welcomed with open arms by her family and….a past lover?

I rarely cry when reading a book, but this one got to me more than once. I loved the family despite their flaws. The had secrets, as many families do. And the unraveling of the secrets kept me up reading two nights in a row. I am actually disappointed I am done with the book.
