So, I want to start by stating something the other reviews have pointed out: this book can’t really stand alone if you haven’t seen/read any other HYYH content, imo. The writing isn’t necessarily confusing, but I feel that the plot wouldn’t have made too much sense if I didn’t previously know some of the settings/events from the webtoon or music videos.

Regardless, I found this book to be a great read. It gives great insight to the surrounding situations and childhood stories that each boy faces, especially when trying to figure out why things happened the way they did. I through holy enjoyed the read and felt so much emotions for each character and their situations. Can’t wait to get started on the second book :)

Poor writing; lots of incoherent descriptions that seem to be an attempt to be seen as "artistic". The point of the story is lost in its futile attempt to garner sympathy for its characters in obvious and almost oppressive chronologies of tragic events and violence.

This book is one of the most significant pieces of the universe since it is a chronological collection of all of the “notes” that could be found through BTS albums over the years and each feature snippets of the stories for each character. It is meant to be read after Save Me because it picks up where Save Me left off in a way. So remember that if you want to venture into this universe with me.

My ultimate impression is that this book is fascinating and really well-done. It was especially nice to finally have some semblance of chronology with this universe as it is quite convoluted and mysterious when starting with the films and videos like I did. Having it all in one collection is nice and it definitely reads well as a book.
