I wasn’t sure about the characters at first—they’re loaded with baggage and each bogged down in toxic masculinity, but they develop well and I wish we got more time with them as things developed. Sometimes scene cuts or time jumps feel too thin, are almost too sparse. the story is well done, the editing tight, I just would enjoy more time with characters especially as they start working through trauma together. Rushes to the HEA a bit. Head’s up, the villain is very villainous, and there’s a brainwashed kidnapping victim side story that’s handled well enough but is also just sad and messed up.
