It took me soooooooo long to read this. I picked it up and started over about five times. Finally listened to the audiobook and I finally got my win.
Now about the book…. It was kinda disappointing. There were a lot of concepts at the beginning that were interesting but never executed. Our FMC was lack luster and very much showed her age. Nothing wrong with that at all but it made me disconnect from her. Couldn’t not find any of these characters likable or memorable.
Don’t read this book if you’re looking for a gripping ya horror. Do read this book if you want to read about teenage angst with a haunted house thrown in.

This was a creepy book club pick. Was super annoyed until I realised it was ya. Not that I don’t enjoy good ya or think ya literature is bad by default, but I will hold off on saying it’s a bad book because I’m not intended audience for it. I’m just old and I'll leave it at that lol
