damn there was so much animal cruelty in this one 😠I appreciate the harsh reality of the cruel practices of roman emperors, but I don’t want to read about it!! it was scary! and I teared up at the end. rick riordan did NOT have to do that to me.
again meg is such an elusive character. one minute she’s so annoying and then the next I want to protect her with my life. I predict she actually isn’t a demigod: she’s a minor god, daughter of demeter and karmanor.
still loved all of apollo’s references to music of the 70s and 80s — rick riordan clearly knows that era. the blemmyae were a hilarious addition — more bumbling baddies, pls! but I hated the setting of indianapolis, sry. looking forward to the maaazze!!
