This was such a cute book! Honestly, the audiobook version of this really made this book. I loved the sound effects, and background noise. Plus, the Starwars soundtrack makes every story more epic. The characters and plot weren’t overly Starwars-ish. I was able to understand everything while also enjoying the little nods to Starwars.

The story was a cute romance for most of the book. The ending turned into a bit more action and really picked up the pace. It was so fun!

I love how this takes place in Galaxies Egde. Having been to Galaxies Edge multiple times, it made this story so magical! There were so many hints to this fantastical land, food I’ve tried, rides I’ve ridden and characters I’ve seen. This had to be my favorite part of the book!

May the force be with you!

I found this book to be alright. I liked the plot though it was slow in the very beginning. I liked the characters but I definitely like some more than others.

Enjoyable to listen to. If all star wars audiobooks have music and sound effects like this one, then I need to listen to more star wars audiobooks!

Quick adventure with lovable characters transitioning  childhood friendship into love, while taking all the treasured parts of galaxy’s edge and growing with the changing times.

Personality I haven't gone to Disneyland to see Batuu, though seeing others youtube videos helped me picture a few things! :) I loved the characters of this book all of them and the story was addicting. I will read more of this series I swear on that. I give this 3.5 stars and would tell others to read this soon!

3.5! (3 stars from a Star Wars perspective; 4 stars from an outsiders perspective)

A Star Wars book written by a Latina is truly groundbreaking for me! I love Córdovas Brookly Brijas series and was so excited to read this book.

I wanted to love this book. I really did! And for the most part it is a fun, exciting, action romance story set in the Star Wars universe, I just wish it had stopped at that.
Pros:
- The authors writing is incredible. I love how quick-witted and imaginative Córdovas writing style is!
- Grumpy x Sunshine trope and the grump is the girl which is my favorite iteration of this trope!
- The romance had its steamy parts which.. YES
- The action was really fun
- Enjoyed the exploration of mother daughter relationships, even if it wasn't fully developed.

Cons:
- My biggest problem with the book has to be the last 20-30 pages or so. The story is self contained for most of the book, but at the end the author tries to connect it to the overall Star Wars universe and in my opinion it does not work. The book is a story about a bounty hunter and her friend going on an adventure and running away from a rival gang. There is little mention of the First Order & The Rebellion except in passing. This would have all been fine, if in the end the characters didn't *SPOILER* end up joining the rebellion without much of an explanation *END OF SPOILER* .

I think this book tried to do what Lost Stars did by providing an on the ground pov of the war, but to me it was not as successful.

I think that for avid Star Wars readers this book is not high on the rec list. BUT
None Star Wars readers would probably really love the romance, and cute adventure of it all!!

Que la fuerza te acompañe!

I’m a bit disappointed in this. I didn’t really vibe with the characters, and the way the story was told left me wanting more. The sort of insta-love didn’t pull me in, and not even the villains interested me.

I do have to say, though, that I loved reading about Batuu. I’m going back to Disney World next week and reading about all the little corners of BSO made me even more excited to visit it again.

I do wish we’d seen Hondo. My enjoyment of this book might have gone up to 3.5 ⭐️ if he’d taken part in the shenanigans…
