Okay, so I thoroughly enjoyed this one. The writing and poems were even better, and I related to a lot more in this one. The feminism in this one was absolutely outstanding. So, all-in-all, I rate this one 4.5/5 stars, I highly recommend it, and I'd definitely read it again.

i like reading her poems as a collection of little reminders, and that's exactly what this was.

This book, much like the previous book in the series, is part poetry, part advice. Its interesting reading the Big Sister's response to the poems. I see myself in both sisters, at different points. I appreciate the message the book is sending, but I do kinda miss the format and ferocity found in the "women are some kind of magic" series.
Once again, I love the artwork and spent a long time staring at the full page forest spread.

cw: mental health, self-harm, eating disorders, abuse
amanda's poems will forever resonate with me. the ones i related to the most contain triggers so i won't share those, but i'm just eternally grateful that people like amanda are willing to share their struggles to help others. it always makes me feel a little less alone when i'm reading them. i loved this a lot and i can't wait to read whatever they write next.
