SUPER strong “It” vibes from this one. Group of misfits from a creepy town haunted by a bad guy/monster, and the adults are all virtually useless but they also know what’s REALLY haunting the town but won’t tell the kids for some reason??

I was so attached to all of these kids and their friendships that by the end I was biting my nails and reading with teary eyes. I so desperately wanted everything to turn out okay. I was incredibly invested. A couple of lingering questions and plot stuff that kind of made me tilt my head and go, “huh” but for the most part I was too deep into the story to really care.

This was so good.
