Written beautifully. Transports you to the circus and makes you wish there was that came to your town.

Me gusto la historia, pero no puede pasar a más de eso.
No tengo alguna queja en concreto o algo con lo que pueda argumentar mucho sobre porque la calificación de 3 estrellas, es simplemente que este será un libro que me gusto pero no memorable.

A lovely story notable more for its prose and structure than the uniqueness of its plot (which I don't mean negatively). I thought for the longest time this was YA, but it really didn't read that way to me. More like a sort of steampunky turn-of-the-century urban fantasy. I can see how the fragmentation or time skips in the narrative could be frustrating to some readers -- I frequently found myself flipping back to the beginning of sections to remind myself of their relationship in time to each other. And there's a certain sense of distance in the narrative -- this is a story you are being told, not experiencing directly, but in a way that ties into the themes of the story itself, so I thought it worked.

More intrigue & mystery than expected, which helped to create suspense to pull me along. Small lull in the plot pacing around the middle, but I was enjoying the setting and characters so much I didn't mind. Also the romance was
kind of not at all and then all at once... but I'm still buying it idc.
Fantastic, magical, and endearing.
