I really enjoyed this fiction that's based on real events. The only thing that was a bit confusing was the jumping back and forth between time periods. Overall, though, a well-told story that kept me guessing until the end.

Too slow to keep my attention. I may try again later.

Ariel Lawhon is the queen of historical fiction. Based on the 1930 disappearance of a prominent New York Judge, this account imagines a compelling and thrilling ending to the never solved (in real life) mystery.
