This was fun but not my favorite in this series.
I was excited to read this next book in the Murderbot series after finishing the previous one. I was a little confused as to why none of the characters were bringing up the events from the previous book, to the point where I actually double checked the publication order to make sure I started the right one, but the order was right so I just continued reading. It wasn't until after I finished this book that I realized that this wasn't the next book chronologically. I don't know if it would've affected my enjoyment of this book but I still wish I knew the chronological order.
Anyway, like I said before, this was still fun to read but the murder mystery wasn't super compelling to me. I like Murderbot as a character but it didn't seem like it was that invested in the mystery so I wasn't that invested either. Also, the setting wasn't that interesting to me. It all took place in probably the least interesting parts of a space station.
Despite my complaints, I still liked this book. I appreciated seeing the old crew members again. I enjoyed seeing the different bots on Preservation station. And I like seeing how much Murderbot has changed since the first book. So this may not be my favorite, but it's still good.

I started this one and then for some reason just couldn’t get into it as well as the other ones even with the murder mystery. Once I did pick it back up though I devoured it in one day and absolutely loved it. I don’t know why it needed to take a second, but I love this series as always..
