Even better than vol 1. Love the background stories and new characters and the back covers (?) or last pages are even better. Loved

I didn't read issue six because the book comes with a content warning for sexual assault. Thank you so, so much for this.
Anyways, I'm ready for my non-compliant tattoo. This one is just as good as the first. I want to give this series to everyone I know.

Gaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhh! Again, this is a violent romp, but if you want a darkly satisfying feminist GN, this is your book. I don't see volume 3 anywhere, so I wrote to the author to beg for more.

So much time has passed between the publication of Vol. 1 and Vol. 2 of Bitch Planet that I was a bit lost and forgot some important plot/character developments (particularly the history with Agent Whitney, whose name I just had to look up again because she's not that interesting, but is apparently serving a pivotal role).
As a trans woman who reads a lot of comics, I can at least say this is one of the better/best introductions of trans characters in a story. It was written by cis women, but they had three (hopefully paid) consultants who are trans. Kelly Sue DeConnick obviously put a lot of good intentions into this, fretted over how it could be done wrong, and let adjustments be made beyond what she'd originally planned. So that's all respectable.
I know Image typically does this thing where they take a hiatus from a book just after releasing the first trade, but I don't think this book will succeed in the long-term if it isn't printed and collected in a more timely and consistent manner. (Disclaimer: I don't follow the monthly comics releases)

Much better than the first volume for sure. Less nudity, even though it was still there. I am still unsure why shower scenes and naked women are required for this story. But otherwise, I liked the plot in this one and definitely plan to continue with this series. Next volume will be interesting as now all the women in prison are free and President Bitch is backing the revolution.
