Funny anecdotes and stories written to his son as an explanation for himself as a parent. There are some really sweet and heartfelt moments in the book but also a lot of hilarious phrases that caught me off guard, but in a good way. This is a sweet read for any parent at any stage in the game.

”You and your mother are my greatest, most wonderful, scariest adventure. I’m amazed every day that you’re still letting me follow along.”

Someone give me a wellness check the day I read a Fredrik Backman book and don't cry.

Very good.
But still very angry at croatian publisher Fokus for translating his books from English.

As always, love anything Fredrik touches. This was full of his in-person humor and charm that is often missing from his fiction work (because he's an epic writer that knows his personality is not his character's personality, but like damn this was so full of his voice and I LOVED THAT). Would recommend even to non-parents like me, heartwarming and cuddly. Like a warm hug.
