This one was a real disappointment for me. While there were characters I really liked, how Della was written ruined this for me. At no time did Della sound like a 10 year old child.
Really good book, super interesting. And it presented certain topics to its middle-grade audience in a simple but efficient way, which was much appreciated. Overall, I don't think I could find anything in this book that was glaringly awful, so 5 stars it is.
This book is so powerful. I haven’t cried this much while reading a book in recent memory. Such an important story for teachers,parents, students to read. An extremely difficult topic written in a beautifully powerful voice.
Very moving story with a strong protag0nist. This book definitely is not a lighthearted one, but illuminates some struggles that, unfortunately, many kids go through.
