This book was fine, but it wasn’t for me.

The plot was very rushed so I didn’t really care what was going to happen next. Apart from the epilogue you don’t see Alkor’s planet or family.

Alkor and Brianna were fine characters, but their relationship was very instant. They didn’t get to know each other at all. Alkor knew that Brianna was his mate, and Brianna remembered Alkor from when she was a kid, and that was it, they were in love.

Lana seemed like a really interesting character, but she’s only shown twice, one short scene at the beginning and at the end. Other than her, there weren’t really any other characters.

I liked this author’s other books, so I’ll probably still read more by her, but this book just wasn’t for me.

This series of books are my kind of read. I like the world building. This author is very good at that. All the technology was new and fascinating. I liked the couple . The bad guys were bad. The hero was very flawed. . I kept getting frustrated by the technology failures. They never explained how the Rose Syndicate kept finding them. I like that the heroine comes into her own. I am very intrigued by these books and plan to read them all.
