I found this book to be a nice short read, but I worry that I may not have gotten the most out of it. The three short sections of this book are easy enough to digest on the surface, but you can always feel this lingering uncaniness to the way characters interact, especially the women. I feel like the book is acting as an inside joke to women who are mothers that I felt left out of. I can't say much about the plot without spoiling a lot of it, but just know that you with more likely be left with more questions than answers when you're done. This isn't to say that I disliked the book, only that it wasn't totally my cup of tea. Between this book and "The Hole", I would recommend the latter. But I still felt a good amount of whimsy from this short novella as well.
