I enjoyed almost every second of seeing Killian being a fucking menace, and every time he said something like “high un/recommended” made my day for some reason. Also, can we talk about the “little rabbit” thing! It’s so cute! I loved Glyn’s relationship with her brothers and seeing them look out for each other in their own ways. I can’t wait to see more of them in the next book. Nikolai’s character reminds me of Mikey from tmnt if he were evil. The book starts of pretty dark but gets easier. I do feel like this ain’t a series I can’t read back to back, but I’m not entirely sure why. One of the main things that bothered me was how he manipulated her brothers, but I’m not sure why. It’s part of the reason I’m giving it 3.5 instead of four. The other is that his forcing her to do things and inserting himself into her social circle felt like it was a bit much at times, mostly after chap 26. I’m the most I excited to read about Jeremy in GOW but I’m also pretty interested in Creighton and Annika’s story, partially since I’m sure he’ll play a big part in it. I’d also like to read about him as a brother from Annika’s perspective before seeing him from Cecily’s povs. Mostly since I have an idea of how she views him from this book, and also because I love protective big brother characters.

I decided to start reading this series in full to see if I was too harsh rating God of Fury because tiktok is convincing me it’s the best book in the world. While I’m sure that is not actually the case, I do see myself rating it higher after reading the rest because reading God of Malice did fill in a lot of blanks for me. These books are arguably pretty bad but the kind of bad that actually makes them good and entertaining. Killian doesn’t do it for me but I actually loved Glyndon and I usually think the FMCs in dark romances are idiots. I already know I love Brandon and can’t wait to read Landon’s book so I’m not surprised I love their sister, too.

I’m only rating this 3 stars because Killian is just notttt it for me and the ~romance~ didn’t feel genuine at all.

Man, I gave into curiosity and I can't say it was worth it. The characters have the depth of a sheet of paper. Killian comes across terribly. Glyndon lacks a modicum of self-respect. The writing is cringe.

There was a scene where Killian reconciles with his family that made me cry and sadly it was the only genuine one in the whole book.

It took me a minute to warm up to the “dark” in this dark romance but I really enjoyed it!
