It was a good mix of short stories, some of which I hope to share with my students!! None particularly stood out to me/wow’d me, but there were good characters and interesting plots.

Really great audiobooks-- some of the stories read by their authors. The stories are generally about 11-12 year olds, coming from very diverse viewpoints and situations.

I adored these middle grade stories. Normally I have an issue reading MG because of how obvious the stories tend to be, but these stories were not like that. Super cute and fun.

I enjoyed this collection of multicultural stories. I must admit that my favorite story was "The beans and rice Chronicle of Isaiah Dunn" and " the difficult path". This collection truly does have stories for every reader. The length of the stories make it an ideal choice for reluctant readers and readers who enjoy short stories. Great for book for the middle school set.

I love short story collections, but usually ones for kids or teens are pretty meh. But I would happily recommend this one to anyone, adults included. I genuinely enjoyed every story in here and am interested to try works by authors I hadn't made time to read before.

This book has some wonderful short stories. They certainly leave you wanting more. Many of the masters of young adult and juvenile fiction are included.
