When people said that Agatha Christie is a master at thrillers, I was curious. But, after reading And Then There Were None I have no doubts that about it. She crafted such an intricate murder plan with complex characters that constantly left me at the edge of my seat. 

The beginning was slightly slow since we are first introduced to the characters, but it quickly becomes apparent that there is a killer in their midsts. I will admit that I (accidentally) spoiled myself and I did not see that twist coming. However, it was a brilliant way to explain how to find the identity of the killer. 

The epilogue of the novel was especially gripping and it was such a romantic way to explain the murders on Indian Island.

An absolutely brilliant book that I had trouble putting off and doing something else. At first I thought it would be nothing interesting, but after further reading it turned out the exact opposite. I have to say that if I hadn't read the letter from the killer at the end of the book, I would't even know who the killer was. I definitely recommend this book.

Current read rating (June 2024): 5/5 stars

As I was re-reading this book, I realized how and why I enjoyed it the first time I read it, and is enjoyed by many. Agatha Christie is crafty with her words and cunning in creating sneaky characters. This time around, I was more focused on who's next as I flip back to that first page with the rhyme.

With the soldiers going missing or getting broken as each person is killed off, I was imagining it like a spy movie of sorts, the culprit hiding in the walls and behind hidden doors throughout the house xD
