A cute read! Nothing stood out as like a OMG I’LL NEVER LOVE AGAIN but it wasn’t horrible either. Was pleasantly surprised how understanding the love interest was when she reveals something about herself. But was equally disgusted at how juvenile he and his twin brother divided their house in half and one brother was forced to pee in a sink. There are houses with two bathrooms you know.

The cover made me curious, but it was the blurb that hooked me and I have to say this really was a cute read that kept me entertainment all the way through until the end.

ARC kindly provided by the publisher via Edelweiss in exchange for an honest review.

I don't think anything was necessarily bad about this one, but I also didn't overly care too much about it. It was to listening to while doing home chores, but I don't really see myself sitting down to thoroughly enjoy it.

A former beauty queen enters her patients naughty and chonky dog into a dog show run by a handsome veterinarian. A premise that I almost liked. The main character being a former beauty pageant participant meant half the book she was like ugh I’m SOoOo beautiful but I’m more than that!! Omg this guy thinks I’m pretty how awful!!! Wow being super hot SUCKs!! And I simple cannot relate.

Also that standoff masterbating scene??????? Was certainly unique but also feels more intimate than just having sex I can’t believe they did that before they even kissed or anything 🥴

Thanks to Sourcebooks Casablanca for making this book available to me on #Netgalley
Ruby has given up on the pageant life but she has not really picked up or gone after what she actually wants. She seems to have just settled with what she could get. With that she has been working as a Nursing Assistant (Care Assistant for those in the UK) at a Residential Home (Care Home). She seems to have a routinely peaceful life until when one of her old friends asks her to sign up her dog for a dog pageant (I did not know that it was a thing).

This brings Ruby back into the life she thought she has left behind. This is when she meets Spencer a veterinarian who runs the show. He know everything about dogs and one thing he know is that Ruby's lazy lump of a Golden retriever is not going to the win the pageant no matter how hard she tries. She is hell bent on proving him wrong.

With this book you might think you know what is going to happen but I can promise you that you are wrong. I would hate to be the one to spoil it for you but just be ready to get your heart broken.

I hate you more is an enjoyable romp of a contemporary romance featuring a former beauty queen with a chip on her shoulder and a heart of gold, two couldn't-be-more-different-even-though-they-look-the-same gorgeous twin brothers, several precocious dogs and kids as well as a few ancillary characters who spur the main characters on.

This enemies-to-lovers themed romance has at it's base premise a kind-hearted lady with an "untrainable" dog whom she wishes to show in an upcoming canine contest. She is determined to win and finds herself at odds with the gorgeous veterinarian/dog show judge who can't resist a challenge. Sparks fly, hijinks ensue, and love blossoms (even if the main characters are slow to see it) in this clever and funny book. Chapter 9 and Chapter 12 are decidedly steamy.

The narrators did a wonderful job with the content and the various characters in the book. I found myself enjoying driving around and spending a little extra time in the car just to listen to their engaging voices.

I listened to the audiobook, provided to me as a courtesy by Dreamscape Media through NetGalley, in exchange for an honest review. Thank you for the opportunity!
