I was dragged deeply into this story. Good writing.

I had this on my to-read list in my Audible app for a while. It sounded fairly interesting, and I had just finished reading a bigger book, so I wanted a "break." I was stunned by how intensely interesting this was, especially for a short story!
I will be looking for more by this author, AND I'll look for more narrated by Kevin Bacon--he did a fabulous job!

I find the Audible Originals hit and miss. The good thing is that they are free with a membership. This one wasn't bad. I'm not always a fan of celebrity narrations but Kevin Bacon gave this story life! If you like things that are a little out there, you will probably love this. It is a little far-fetched, and at times, I found my thoughts drifting whilst listening, so it didn't keep my attention as I would have expected and wanted. But it was thought-provoking, and at times, funny. It's a quick and easy listen.

Fantastic story from a talented screenwriter and director. It was creepy, funny and emotional. It was  also very reminiscent of Scott Smith's The Ruins, a fantastic novel.
Kevin Bacon did a tremendous job narrating.
I own the author's debut novel, Cold Storage which I really look forward to reading now!

3.5/5...Very Stephen King-y Audible,concept...with Kevin Bacon now being old enough to pull off a convincing octogenarian yard warrior.

Thrilling and scary, but with so much heart and humanness. It's hard not to enjoy this story.
