Great, quick story. So many good lines and Kevin Bacon killed it as the narrator. Original, suspenseful and very well written.

Exciting nature horror with some great character work on the protagonist. Very much for Stephen King fans, like me. Great narration by Kevin Bacon.

Interesting little audiobook read by Kevin Bacon. Short story of an older man who just lost his wife. Trying to stay at his cabin and battling the vines taking over the trees. Quick and engaging read with a great ending.

That was a darn near perfect short story. I loved it. Creepy but also made me laugh. Just a really engaging, quick listen. Free with audible plus and I highly recommend.

Need more Bacon!

A fantastic performance! It's rather bittersweet that I finally listened to this book narrated by Kevin Bacon, and guess what? That's it, no more.

3.5 stars. I love these free audible originals, as it allows me to try genres outside of my comfort zone. I really enjoyed this, it had an magical realism feel to it, and the graphic descriptions had me wincing quite a few times. Kevin Bacon did a great job with the narration. A quick, entertaining listen.

The Story: In the tale, an elderly retired judge decides to retreat to his lake house after the death of his wife of 50 years. But soon after he arrives, the judge notices a strange new vine aggressively growing on a tree that he and his wife always loved.
