Boring and yet unnecessarily dramatic....even by this seriesβ standards. Not mad about the ending though, it just felt right.
In this last and final book of the Gossip Girl series, we see everyone again at the holiday's through their four years at college. Blair has a new boyfriend, Pete, who's family she is visiting for the holiday's in Vermont. But when they make an announcement that they are going to Costa Rica and Blair isn't invited, she goes back to New York. She has no family there because they moved to LA but she runs into Nate and old habits resurface. Serena is a movie star and everyone knows who she is in New York. She also runs into Nate and old feelings come back to her. Nate is back from his sailing trip and knows that he must choose between Serena and Blair but is having a hard time figuring it out. Dan and Vanessa are going strong with their long distance relationship and Dan has exciting news for Vanessa but he catches her cheating on him and wants nothing to do with her.
This book is divided into four parts. Each part is a year apart through their college years. I enjoyed reading in this style because we get to see what everyone is up to for four years! But honestly, this story wasn't anything different from what has already happened. Nate is still confused on whether he loves Serena or Blair. Why can't he just move on? We see some new romances surface and I enjoyed some of them a lot! Like Blair and Chuck. Reading this last book, I actually felt like the characters were the characters that they are in the TV show. Blair and Serena fighting and making up just felt more real in this book. I feel like maybe the TV show might have had some influence on this book and it worked really well.
I actually enjoyed this book more than the entire series! But it still isn't a wonderful book. It's okay. Nothing great and I definitely wouldn't recommend it. Unless you like high school drama. If you like young adult, drama and reality TV, you may enjoy this series. But if you love the Gossip Girl TV show as much as I do, you might be disappointed in the book series. I can't believe I read the entire series within a month! It was so stressful but it's worth it because now I get to watch the TV show and I can't wait. I hope you have enjoyed these mini reviews and thanks for reading!

Agak nggak masuk akal sih, bahkan di TV show Chuck-Blair deserve each other karena tendensi sifat mereka yang sama-sama "licin" ga sih π Tapi... yasudahlah.
Novel ini mencakup rentang 4 tahun sekaligus masa kuliah para tokohnya, dengan fokus ke pesta New Year's Eve tahunan yang diselenggarakan Chuck. Intinya plot buku ini muter-muter aja sih: malam tahun baru yang pertama Nate balikan sama Blair, malam tahun baru berikutnya Nate hook up sama Serena, trus malam tahun baru berikutnya Blair jadian sama Dan dan Chuck jadian sama Blair ga lama kemudian. Repetitif. Lol. Tapi ya memang gitu kan ya alurnya Gossip Girl.
Nate versi buku is sooo lame.
Kenapa cerita mereka ga dijadikan novel terpisah aja sekalian, sungguh misteri bagiku.

I love this!! Again, books about the very wealthy and privileged are ones I love!
The one where itβs finally fucking over happy holidays
what can i say?? a true throwback to high school, iβm a little ashamed i read this, everyone changes their mind about everything on what feels like the slightest whim which makes the characters feel unsubstantial, and yet i also devoured this in two days. Β―\_(γ)_/Β―
Alas, not as good as the rest of the series. While I kind of always enjoyed the ongoing love-triangle now it just seemed unnerving.
And literally the whole story was pressed into the last few pages.
I expected so much more! Also, we never get to know who Gossip Girl actually is. Why is that?

Whole plot doesn't interest me anymore that's why I decided not to finish this book.
